Name: Dave Mason Age: Boomer Location: Chicago, IL, USA / Vancouver, BC, Canada / New York, NY, USA / Mahone Bay, NS, CanadaLink

MWM/6'1"/180/human; 0901 CST/ 42.098N -88.282W / elevation 761 feet; fun/profit/because I am lucky; anglo-saxon/americanadian, type-a, agnostic/secular, capitalist/socialist, consumer/environmentalist, skeptimistic pragmatist; no one; everyone and no one. Everyone shares some of my thoughts, but no one thinks exactly as I do nor do I think exactly as someone else. We only intersect with like-thinkers in compartmentalized segments. everyone I know and a lot of people I have never met and never will. I helped create and sustain 3 new lives. Other than that, how important can anything else be? in whatever way is most appropriate/practical/welcome/possible; I am focused on my ignorance. And I am already at a destination; through willpower, judgement and skill.

I am among the luckiest of the lucky. White. Male. Born in the late 20th century into a stable family living in an advanced western society. I won the lottery the day I was born (as did hundreds of millions of others). This more than anything defines me. Because want, need, ignorance, evil and despair are generally distanced from me, I can afford the luxury of higher thought. Because I live this insulated life, I work hard to keep those I love in the same insulation. But because I know I am among the luckiest of the lucky, my personal challenge is to quietly help a few less fortunate than me to move up a few places on the luck continuum.
